Medical Marijuana Doctor license suspension reversed

A Colorado doctor and former member of the Colorado Department of Health Medical Marijuana Advisory committee had his license suspension reversed according to the Denver Post.
Doctor Paul Bregman was one of the first Colorado doctors to have his license suspended making him unable to make medical marijuana recommendations. The initial reason for the suspension is still rather vague with one source stating the doctor:  "Has a condition that has harmed his ability to serve his patients." It is unknown at this time whether this reversal will have an effect on the status of previously rejected medical marijuana ID card applications.

Docter Bregman has been active in the Colorado medical marijuana movement and the medical director for Cannamed USA medical marijuana doctor referral service. He has volunteered his time and expertise in helping the state advisory panel to form regulations and guidelines for medical marijuana. Bergman was one of the earliest doctors to come out and openly support medical marijuana in Colorado at a time when many doctors were avoiding the issue. He was quoted in Westword last year stating that doctors should "come out of the closet and be part of the solution."

The Colorado Medical Board in reversing Bregmans license stated that he had complied with several terms and conditions. While it is unknown what those terms were, the important thing is that Doctor Paul Bregman now has an unrestricted and active medical license!

A different Doctor, Manuel Aquino gave his license to the medical board voluntarily after he appearantly recommended medical marijuana to a pregnant woman. There are no updates on the status of this case. His license is assumed to still be restricted.
